It's Not You, It's Him

You're strong, you're single, you're....not ready to mingle? It's exhausting having to explain to concerned enquirers that your not single because you're a bitter spinster that hates everyone and only wants to live with cats, but that you've made a conscious decision to love yourself enough that you are not willing to put up with just any partner.

As a strong, confident woman, you are not afraid to be alone and conquer the world as the hero of your story. Don't get me wrong there are great men and with every passing generation we learn better ways to support each other and be partners rather than property, but the changes are slow and I was born too late. When people ask me why I'm single I say it's because I'm an asshole magnet and there is no shortage of them in this world.

Assholes will always find ways to control you and this isn't just in sexual/domestic abuse but also in emotional abuse as well. He will find your insecurities and instead of propping you up, he will find ways to manipulate you with them. If you keep finding yourself in a relationship asking yourself "what am I doing wrong?" Remember, it's not you, it's him. Your in love with an asshole and you need to move on. It's better to be alone than to be with an asshole.

You deserve better, never settle!
